King River Brewing IPA Series: Galaxy

It’s not often you see an IPA can from King River Brewing but, if you do, there’s a good chance it’s thanks to the hop harvest happening around the corner. However, this beer represents the start of something new from the brewery as they kick off their IPA Series.

Each beer is set to feature the same malt base with a new hop selection in every batch and it’s hard to think of a better one they could have launched with than Galaxy, much of which is grown in the High Country. Here that hop brings passionfruit, pine, zesty mandarin and some stone fruit, while the all-round bold IPA has a chewiness and building bitterness.
