On the back of past collaborative successes such as last year's Forest For The Trees barrel aged imperial porter and 2015's Black and Tannin barrel aged black IPA, the new beer from Eagle Bay Brewing and several of their good friends is about to drop itself into the middle of the WA winter.
Called Black Vanilla, the beer has been made in conjunction with the folks at Mane Liquor, artist Kyle Hughes-Odgers and the WA whiskey lovers from the Whipper Snapper distillery. It's a near ten percent ABV imperial stout aged in whiskey barrels with the addition of vanilla and coconut and, befitting a big beer, it's being launched in several places over several days...
The Dark Side at Eagle Bay Brewing (July 20)
Head to the Eagle Bay Brewery for an evening exploring beer, whiskey and chocolate with a brewer, a distiller and a chocolatier to guide you through. Meet Vanilla Black at Mane Liquor (July 22)
The team at Mane Liquor will be spruiking their collaborative goods with an in-store tasting from 4pm to 7pm, featuring Mary Street donuts, Black Vanilla t-shirts, bottles of the new beer and a single keg for growler refills.

Black Vanilla Winter Feast at Lalla Rookh (July 26)
Enjoy a couple of beers, a couple of whiskeys and more than a couple of courses of food as Perth's Lalla Rookh hosts the inner city launch of the beer. Tickets can be booked here.
