Toowoomba's annual craft beer festival returns when four venues welcome guests for the third Brewoomba on August 5.
The festival will spill outside the venues too, with organisers promising a block party atmosphere and a Craft Beer Car Park in addition to all the action inside.
The four host venues are The Spotted Cow, the new Mills Precinct, Fitzy's on Church and The Tapestry Bar.
Spotted Cow owner Phil Coorey says: “Continuing on from the tradition begun at the Mort Estate Hotel during the first two years, The Spotted Cow will be showcasing beers that are literally from the pointy end of the stick. The harder to get the better!
“Expect the unexpected as we continue to try and push the boundaries for those that are prepared to go to the next level of beer drinking.”
Across the road the new Mills Precinct is being set up to deliver "a block party atmosphere surrounded by craft beer, food trucks and much more" while Fitzy's Church Street car park will be "pumping with live music, DJs and barbecue demonstrations" alongside the beers.
Completing the picture is The Tapestry Bar, which will be the home of Queensland's brewers, while you can look out for the Official Festival Beer, brewed at 4 Hearts and based on the winning recipe from the Brewoomba Homebrew Competition.
Among the breweries appearing are:
- 4 Hearts
- Stone & Wood
- Young Henrys
- Six String
- Anderson Valley
- 4 Brothers
- Matilda Bay
- Australian Beer Co
Tickets cost $40 in advance ($25 for designated drivers) and include:
- Your first tap beer at Fitzy's AND The Spotted Cow AND Blank Space AND Church St Carpark Party
- Unlimited use of the festival shuttle bus from 1pm to 9pm
- Brewoomba 2017 souvenir trucker's cap (while stocks available)
