Back in 2013 Cavalier sent a few ripples and jitters through Good Beer Week when they teamed up with local coffee roasters Proud Mary on a Black Coffee IPA. It was well received so they did it again, and now they're doing it for a third time but with the promise of different coffee varieties, different hops and a different brewing technique.
It'll be launched at Aunty Peg's in Collingwood amidst a full Cavalier tap takeover, with the Cavalier and Proud Mary crews holed up at the bar (or owning the table tennis table) to share some free beer with you.
Things kick off at about 5.30pm with a food truck running til 9pm and heaps of giveaways throughout the evening.
If you fancy some takeaways, they'll have a limited amount of six packs and slabs of the Coffee IPA going cheap. Otherwise you'll have to just wait until the packaged release the following week.
