It’s absolutely no secret that the guys from Bounty Hunter Brewing love both gaming and beer. So, for the launch of their next limited release they figured they might invite a few people around and fire up the old Nintendo console. And if you're doing that, why not go big by making it a competition and hosting it at a top beer spot? So that’s exactly what they’re doing.
On Friday September 22 they’ll be taking over the mezzanine at The Pumphouse, loading up the private bar and pulling down a projector for a Mario Kart tournament.
They’ve invited local breweries, bars and other local industry people to enter teams and you could join them on the (virtual) race track too. If you want to enter a team you’ll need two people and it'll be first in, first served so be in there early to register.
The new Nintendo-themed beer – World 8, a peach and raspberry sour – will be pouring alongside another recent release (the Ghostbuster-themed What Did You Do, Ray? burnt marshmallow brown ale) will be pouring from 5pm with racing kicking off at 7pm.
Bounty Hunter Banter will be recording a mini-podcast and there’ll be some prizes to be given away to the top racers.
