A pioneer in Melbourne's southeast beer scene, Moorabbin's 2 Brothers is turning ten and is holding a party to make sure the decade is marked in style – not to mention launching a beer worthy of the occasion.
Said beer will be The GUVNOR II, a hat tip to the original GUVNOR Barley Wine that claimed a trophy at the AIBAs all the way back in the pre-craft beer days of 2011.
This second coming has been broken down into a four part series, with each release being aged by different means. Part 1 is a French Oak edition and it goes on tap at 2pm in the 2 Brothers Beer Hall, with both the actual brothers behind the business, Dave and Andrew, along for a chat and a beer.
The GUVNOR II will be very limited in its availability so the brewery's birthday is your best bet if you want a taste. And of course they'll have more than a dozen other beers on offer, plus all the usual trimmings.
