In anticipation of hotter weather hitting Melbourne over the Australia Day long weekend, Tallboy and Moose is looking to bring sweet relief to those who visit the Preston brewpub.
From Wednesday, January 24 until Sunday, January 28, the brewery will be scooping ice cream-inspired beers and pouring beery spiders. The concoctions are a collaboration with North Fitzroy's Billy van Creamy, who have specialised in natural, handmade ice cream since starting out in 2014.
The ice cream beer creations include:
- Dark Side of the Moose – Russian imperial stout ice cream
- King Tang – kiwi fruit kettle sour sorbet
For those looking for a more straightforward ice cream hit, both vanilla bean and chocolate flavours will also be finding their way into the brewery at subzero temperatures with recommended ice cream and beer spiders including:
- Vanilla Moose Vader - Darkside RIS pint with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
- Kiwi Van Gift - Late Gift Lager pint with King Tang sorbet
But remember, love and respect will be shared aplenty for those who invent their own combinations.
