Where are you least likely to find craft beer? A takeaway in a country town? An RSL? The MCG? Well, times do seem to be changing.
A sign of that change is Coburg RSL's upcoming Locals, Members and Friends Day, which includes a tap takeover by Kooinda Brewery and Gage Roads.
While special days for members and locals aren't unusual at RSLs, holding a crafty tap takeover is less than common. That said, with Coburg RSL a pokie-free zone too, it does seem to be interested in doing things a little differently.
The day will also include live music and face-painting, while the beers pouring include Kooinda's Estival, American Pale Ale, Black IPA and Dangerzone IPA along with Gage Roads' Single Fin and Little Dove.
It all goes down from midday at 323 Sydney Road, Coburg.
