St. Patrick's Day At The Dan (VIC)

It's long been one of Melbourne's more popular homes of St Patrick's Day celebrations but, with a new lease on life, March 17, 2018, at The Dan O'Connell may be the historic pub's biggest one yet.

With the added bonus of this year's St Patrick's Day festival falling on a Saturday, The Dan's festival is both a huge day and night of Irish celebrations. As in previous years, the pub will take over its neighbouring park and pack in a huge stage to shine a light of local Irish and folk musicians.

Those performing include Greon Dove (Ramshackle Army super group), The Drunken Poachers, Catgut Mary, DJ Tickets, Justin Yap Band, Whiskey Dram, Juke Box Racket and headliner, Irish/Punk rockers, The Ramshackle Army.  While Irish comedian MC Murphy McLachlan will be hosting on the day and there will also be live Irish dance performances from Christine Ayres School of Irish Dancing and O'Connor Irish Dance School.

Pub grub will be making its way from The Dan's kitchen and beers will be pouring from Guinness, Cavalier Brewing, Stomping Ground and Napoleone Beer and Cider.

The daytime experience is a family friendly one with free entry from 12pm. While from 5pm it's a night for over 18s only, with $10 entry to get you inside.
