Malt might be the backbone of beer, but it's often overshadowed by drinkers' love for hops.
For the brewers at 3 Ravens, however, they love malt so much so they even create their own in house every now and then.
A lot of that work is done by 3 Ravens brewer and maltster Bill and if you'd like to learn more about how it's done, the brewery is holding a masterclass on June 23.
The malting and brewing masterclass will feature an in-depth look at the history of malting, its influence on brewing throughout history and its importance in creating modern styles.
The course includes:
- Guided tour with a brewer
- A sharing, sit down style feast from A1 Bakery Fairfield (dietary requirements can be catered for – please include these in the special requirements section)
- Guided tastings of seven different 3 Ravens beers.
