Fans of Wildflower's beers rejoice; the Marrickville brewery and blendary will soon be releasing its second fruit beer of the year.
St Thomas is an Australian Wild Ale refermented with cherries, named for Wildflower co-owner Chris Allen and his wife's first son. This release was made from refermenting the brewery's aged Amber on 200kg of tree ripened Morello cherries from Thornbrook Orchard orchard in Orange, NSW. The beer will first become available on Friday July 6 but on the Saturday, Wildflower will host Great Wheels of Cheese who will be cooking up gourmet toasties. Food will be available from 2pm with ten beers pouring.
