It's always nice to have friends around for dinner – especially those you haven't seen for a while.
In the case of Akasha, they haven't been over to enjoy the hospitality of the team at the Grain Store for a couple of years. That all changes next Thursday as brewery founder Dave Padden heads north to make up for it with a big beergustation.
It'll take in six courses of the bar's famed food alongside six fresh and full flavoured Akasha beers. One of them will be a new release collaboration called 42-12. It's what they've termed a New England-style blueberry sour and, being bright purple and impenetrably murky, looks quite unlike any other beer in recent memory.
But why the numerical name? Footy score? Postcode? PIN number? You'll have to be there to find out. And you can book a ticket here.
