Why wait until the end of the year for Christmas when you can celebrate it in July with Melbourne's Hopscotch?
This festive evening brings together Hawthorn Brewing, Burnley Brewing and Quiet Deeds, who have joined forces to brew an Orange Brut IPA on Hopscotch's onsite brewery Frank the Tank.
Their take on this new beer style is described as a straw pale IPA that's bone dry, sparkling, with powerful orange and citrus flavours and aromas from the use of Cascade and Mandarina Bavaria hops plus orange zest.
Hopscotch's kitchen will be serving up handfuls of festive eats, designed so you can balance your beer in the other hand, the likes of smoky Christmas ham and mustard toasties, duck fat hasselbacks with beer béarnaise, pigs in blankets with Hawthorn Amber Ale mustard dip and more. There’s also a nitro ice cream bar serving up smashed boozy Christmas pud with caramel.
Santa Claus will be dropping in so everyone can pick a gift from under the tree. And, if you join in the Christmas spirit and wear your ugliest Christmas sweater, you'll be in the running to win $250.
Tickets cost $65, which gets you four beers plus the Orange Brut IPA and roving canapés,
