It takes time to make Tank 6, the Batch Brewing Company’s annual Russian Imperial Stout. They start it in summer and let it sit in a tank – tank number six, naturally – for six months before releasing it in the depths of winter.
And, when they do release it, they also tend to slip some aside for future enjoyment. For events like this.
On July 25 they’ll be putting the whole collection – all four vintages of Tank 6, 2015 to present – on show for an informal side by side tasting.
If you’d like to join brewer Tom and get a taste of how these kinds of big beers travel over time, simply head along to the brewery at 6pm.
