Located just outside Warragul, Hogget Kitchen is well known for its local and seasonal menu and fondness for natural wines.
But the restaurant also plays a role in promoting local beer, particularly those from the fellow Gippslanders at Sailors Grave.
On August 11, Hogget Kitchen will play host to the brewery and match its menu with four Sailors Grave beers. Among them will be Into the Pines Forest Ale, which was a collaboration between the brewery and restaurant.
The beer is a dark ale featuring additions of wild pine mushrooms (foraged by Hogget Kitchen), pine leaves and a bunch of woody/piney hops. You can read our thoughts about it here.
Tickets cost $125 per person and include the four course dinner, matching beers, tea or coffee and a four-pack to takeaway. Plus, if you book in a group of six or more, there will be some more beer and Sailors Grave merch sent your way.
Hogget Kitchen is located at 6 Farrington Close, Warragul.
