Fri 10 May 6:00pm to 19 May

Good Beer Week 2019 (VIC)

Australia's biggest annual celebration of good beer returns for a ninth time in May, as Good Beer Week takes up residence across Melbourne and Victoria for another ten day extravaganza.

You can look forward to all manner of events with fun at their core, expand your beer knowledge in the company of experts, or explore the world of beer and food pairing.

You can get up close and personal at intimate events or let your hair down at big gigs. And, of course, you can find out who's picked up the trophies at the country's largest beer awards or indulge your senses at the Royal Exhibition Building as GABS returns for another five session extravaganza.

There are sessions galore at the GBW Festival Hub at Beer DeLuxe in Fed Square plus beer schools, trade sessions and much more besides – plus the chance to win a $3,000 Good Beer Weekend courtesy of Intrepid Travel's Urban Adventures.

The Crafty Pint at #GBW19

So, what is The Crafty Pint crew up to for Good Beer Week in 2019? Well, our little baby, Pint of Origin, is all grown up now and is taking place at 17 venues across Melbourne – full details here. We'll be updating the Crafty Diary nearer the time with all the daily events occurring on top of the weeklong tap showcases. As the week approaches, you'll be able to pick up PoO Passports too.

For the first time in its eight year history, we're also introducing a bonus event, combining #PoO19 with our Getting Blind With Crafty blind tastings. You can join us at The Dan on May 17 to help us decide which of the PoO regions has put up the best IPA – tickets here.

Aside from that, we're working with Blackhearts & Sparrows on the Seasonal Beer & Wine Feast at East Elevation on May 14. It's set to be a sensorial delight as beers from Wildflower, Dollar Bill and Molly Rose are joined by wines from Boomtown, One Block and Pennyweight Winery for a dinner celebrating seasonal produce. Book your spot here.

On May 17, we'll be hosting the fourth Cryer Malt Brewery Startup Panel at the Festival Hub, designed for anyone new to or considering getting into pro brewing – details and registrations to follow.

Then, on the final Saturday, there will be a chance for GABS competition winners to join The Crafty Pint's founder James Smith for intimate round table chats with some of Australia's best breweries as the festival swirls around us. Keep and eye on GABS and Crafty socials and eDMs for a chance to win.
