Pint of Origin has been The Crafty Pint’s corner of Good Beer Week since 2012.
It’s there to showcase the best beers from Australia and the rest of the world, with bars and pubs across Melbourne welcoming scores of brewers through their doors too.
As well as weeklong tap takeovers, venues are celebrating with a bunch of pop-up events and here's what's on the agenda for Sunday, May 12:
- The Park. Mother's Day. Head into The Park and the friendly folks at Balter will shout all mums a pot.
- Carwyn Cellars. Sixpoint & Friends NYC Airfeight Party. Party New York-style with the crew at Sixpoint, with a lot of the kegs and cans having been airfreighted to ensure maximum freshness.
- Palace Hotel. Brewsters 101. Enjoy your Mother's Day lunch at the Palace and join a hands-on demonstration of brewing process from 1.30pm.
Hear about the history of Beer making and the role of women in beer, past and present. The demonstration will be run Corinna Steeb – co-founder and CEO of Prancing Pony. - Miss Moses. BentSpoke Rarities Showcase & Meet The Brewer. The Bentspoke team are coming down to Miss Moses on Sunday arvo to have a beer and a chat, with the team heading in from 6pm. Miss Moses has also managed to get some beers from the Braddon brewpub that have never before poured this far south.
