Pint of Origin has been The Crafty Pint’s corner of Good Beer Week since 2012.
It’s there to showcase the best beers from Australia and the rest of the world, with bars and pubs across Melbourne welcoming scores of brewers through their doors too.
As well as weeklong tap takeovers, venues are celebrating with a bunch of pop-up events and here's what's on the agenda for Monday, May 13:
- The Park. Head into the Abbotsford pub from 6pm for a free tasting with Green Beacon.
- Terminus Hotel. Melbourne vs The World Showdown. How do Melbourne beers match up against some of the best in the world? Found out in a three round elimination smackdown showdown where four heavy hitting international breweries face off against four of Melbourne’s finest brew crews.
- Carwyn Cellars. Evil Twin New York City Launch Party. Long-time gypsy brewer extraordinaire, Evil Twin, finally opened his own brewery in New York City at the start of the year and Carwyn have some of those NYC brewery beers coming in.
