Pint of Origin has been The Crafty Pint’s corner of Good Beer Week since 2012.
It’s there to showcase the best beers from Australia and the rest of the world, with bars and pubs across Melbourne welcoming scores of brewers through their doors too.
As well as weeklong tap takeovers, venues are celebrating with a bunch of pop-up events and here's what's on the agenda for Friday, May 17:
- The Park. Head into the Abbotsford pub from 6pm for a free tasting with Your Mates Brewing.
- Miss Moses. Wild Polly Victorian Launch and Meet the Brewer. Wild Polly is the ACTs newest brewing companies, being only a few months old and focusing on gluten free beers. Their flagship pale ale will be on tap in Melbourne for the first time ever and the Wild Polly crew will be at the bar.
- The Terminus. Fixation Tap Takeover. Like hops? Fixation Brewing is taking over The Termi taps and pouring eight different beers, including four limited pilot batch brews.
Don't forget to grab a PoO Passport and start collecting stamps at each venue. Once you've bought beers at six venues, there's a free pot as a reward!
