Muntoberfest is King River Brewing's celebration of Bavarian beer and, as the name suggests, the brewery's founders Nathan and Brianna Munt.
The day features seven German beer styles on tap, authentic German food, a live German band, games for big and small kids and prizes.
Nathan has created a specially brewed Muntoberfest Marzen for the event that'll be tapped at 2pm as the brewery joins the nation to #cheerstoindiebeer on #indiebeerday. He's also gone against type and created a hazy IPA for the first time that's debuting on the weekend.
You can read our write up on the Marzen and fellow malty, German-inspired lager My Ambrosia here.
Get your costumes ready, start practising your Schuhplattler and head along to the King Valley's newest festival.
Tickets start at $20 and a bus is running from Wangaratta.
