Starting in November, Miss Moses and Otherside Brewing are teaming up to exhibit works from local artists.
The first Wednesday of every month will act as a gallery opening, with the artist present for the evening, and drink specials on offer from Otherside Brewing.
On November 6, from 6pm, you can join them for the gallery opening of the first artist being showcased: Maki Levine, with her photography series Constructed Habitats.
Constructed Habitats is: “A series of constructed synthetic landscapes where naked abstract bodies strike graceful poses across elements of the earth – albeit fake, like artificial grass. These nude images invite us to ponder the vulnerability of human life as the natural world is under threat on a global scale. This series points to ‘a naked truth’ hidden in figures who pose without eyes that see. Perhaps it is too much to fathom the distant fact that we may no longer exist here.”
