The far north is ready to get down and get funky.
After the success of this year's Cairns Craft Beer Festival, Hemingway's Brewery in Cairns is hosting the slightly wilder and whackier What The Funk? Beer Festival. With a psychedelic 70s vibe and a focus on sours, barrel-aged and Belgian inspired beers, this waterfront festival's all about pushing FNQ a little bit further.
There'll be live music to help you boogie on down, prize giveaways and delicacies from the BBQ Smoker Station. And if you're into funky festivals but not funky beer, never fear - there'll also be tamer beer offerings, as well as gin and rum cocktails from local distillers Wolf Lane and Mt Uncle Distillery.
