As one large brewery opens a venue on the Brown Snake, another celebrates a year of beer on the river.
On November 22, from 11am til late, Felons Brewing will be celebrating their first birthday at Howard Smith Wharves beneath the Story Bridge.
Since the Felons venue rips through kegs like a jetski through the Brisbane River, it's likely you've missed some of their limited releases along the way.
But, on their first birthday, you'll get another chance to try the ones you've missed - they'll be welcoming back a bunch of past special releases as a showcase of the year gone by, including a strawberry watermelon beer, a raspberry sour and a red ale.
They'll also be pouring their taste-sensation birthday beer: Charcoal Pineapple Sour Beer, made with with more than 250 kilograms of Queensland pineapples that were charred on Felons' barbeques before being added to the beer.
Throw in birthday cupcakes, live music and a live art installation by Brisbane street artist Leans, and you've got yourself a pretty sweet riverside party.
