High Country Hops 2020 – CANCELLED

UPDATE (16/03): High Country Hops 2020 is cancelled due to the spread of Covid-19

In a statement, the organisers at Bridge Road Brewers said:

It’s with a great deal of disappointment we announce the cancellation of our annual High Country Hops festival for 2020.

We thank all vendors, artists, customers and guests for their support and understanding.

We ask that everyone continues to be safe, empathetic and mindful in their actions and wish you, your families and communities all the best in these chaotic times.

We’re working towards a replacement festival event later in the year and our venue and brewery remain open for business.

Take care,

The Bridge Road Brewers team.

PS- All pre-purchased passes will be refunded ASAP

When you think of harvest festivals, you may think of centuries old pagan rituals. But we have a modern version, too - Bridge Road Brewers' annual hop harvest festival, High Country Hops.

Victoria's High Country is one of Australia's best hop-growing regions, so Beechworth's Bridge Road thinks it's worth celebrating (and they're right). For the sixth year running, they're bringing together brewers from the High Country Brewery Trail (as well as a few special guests from further afield) to share their fresh harvest beers, with a spotlight on beers made with hops from nearby Rostrevor hop gardens. There's nothing like beers that are grown locally, brewed locally, and enjoyed locally - and as usual, this will include the launch of Bridge Road's annual Harvest and Dark Harvest beers.

Brewers of the High Country pouring will include Bridge Road Brewers, Bright Brewery, Billson’s Brewery,
King River Brewing, Mitta Mitta Brewing Co, Black Dog Brewing and Blizzard Brewing.

They'll be joined by Gippsland's Sailors Grave, Van Dieman Brewing from Tasmania and Brisbane's Range Brewing.

Throw in a selection of local winemakers and distillers, gourmet food offerings, free kids activities and festive live music, and you've got yourself a harvest festival tradition worth holding onto.

Entry to the festival grounds is free; a tasting pass will get you 5 tasting tokens and a High Country Hops festival glass. Tickets are now available
