Topher from Wildflower has helped put Australian wild beer on the map. So when he makes a collab beer with his mentor, Jeff Stuffings of world renowned Jester King Brewery, it's worth having high expectations.
Nothing Fancy takes Wildflower's Gold recipe as a base, adds aged hops from the Jester King barn, and is fermented with a blend of the two house cultures.
There's only one keg in NSW outside of the brewery (and a handful elsewhere – see below), and Bitter Phew will be tapping it on Friday, February 7, at midday, alongside seven other Wildflower beers.
Get in early if you're set on trying this. It's nothing fancy, but it probably won't last long.
