GABS has come a long way since it started out with The Local Taphouse in St Kilda hosting 20 Aussie breweries launching 20 newly created beers in February 2011.
It means that when it returns to Melbourne over three days in May 2021 it will be the tenth running of the festival, albeit rather later than planned after COVID scuppered the 2020 event.
COVID has also forced the organisers to change their venue – the Royal Exhibition Building has been earmarked as a vaccination centre so they're off to the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre on the closing weekend of Good Beer Week instead.
Over five sessions on May 21 to 23, you'll be able to look out for more than 100-plus Festival Beers and Ciders, brewery stalls, masterclasses, music and madcap mayhem aplenty.
