The beer degustations at Saccharomyces Beer Cafe are always impressive affairs, where beers from breweries both near and far are expertly matched with food from the Brisbane haunt's kitchen.
Even though bars and dining tables can no longer be filled, SBC is still keen to match beer with food and here's how the team is doing it.
Each Wednesday and Saturday, head chef Thomo formulates a very special two course dinner that will be paired with a unique and damn tasty beer or two. The Iso Dego is available to pick up between 5pm and 6pm on the designated days, just pop in, flash you ticket and pick your food and booze up.
First up on April 15 is part one of a pairing with Demark's Alefarm with the brewery's Eternity is a Matter of Perspective Imperial Gose matched to a pulled pork cottage pie. That's followed by a chocolate brownie cheesecake with a chunky raspberry beer compote. Tickets here.
Then on April 17, part two sees Alefarm's Hope Inside the Fire IPA paired with a Caribbean chicken curry, followed by a beeramisu. Tickets for that meal can be found here.
