Well, that escalated fast...

No sooner had GABS fans digested the seemingly inevitable news that the last of the postponed festivals for 2020 were cancelled than news came of two fresh summer offerings.

The new versions of GABS hit the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast in early January – outdoor affairs showcasing 70 breweries and bringing the usual array of entertainment.

The Container Bars are being repurposed to pour beers from breweries around Australia impacted by the pandemic rather than new festival beers and there's going to be a New Zealand bar too.

Anyone not up for beer can check out the new champagne, wine and seltzer lawn, while there will also be the Street Food Market, ferris wheel, silent disco, jazz and soul across multiple stages, the GABS Academy, a Corn Hole Championship, a Rib Eating Challenge and on it goes.
