In positive news for all the country's actively mobile beer drinkers, the beautiful experience that is Bendigo On The Hop will be returning for 2021.
The roaming feast of flavour that takes over the Victorian city each August (except for the last one when everything was stuffed...) has been pencilled in for August 28, and the organisers are looking to lock in the brewers, venues and other attractions that will help them showcase the best of the local beer scene.
With the virus still making the occasional unwanted appearance combined with the desire to offer a top experience while reducing risk of being torpedoed by another outbreak, this year's event is set to be ever-so-slightly different in that there're planning for potential restrictions. That likely means fewer venues, more focus on outdoor events, fewer tickets up for grabs, and not so many spots for breweries to showcase themselves.
So, if you run a brewery or venue and are keen to get involved, you'll need to start thinking now and put in a killer submission before June 8.
