If you're a Brisbane-based beer lover, here's one word you definitely want to hear: Armakeggon!
The epic annual event at Archive Beer Boutique returns to the West End on November 6 and is set to welcome punters with more than 45 rare beers from at home and abroad.
This year they've had the good fortune of supplementing their own festival exclusives with some top drops from the GABS Festival, and have added experiences like masterclasses with Revel Brewing and Ballistic Beer Co which will be happening upstairs in their sister venue, Loft. Throughout the day you'll be able to enjoy games, raffles and giveaways and heaps of live music.
Entry is free from 11:30am, but the keen and the organised can nab a VIP ticket for $25 which includes early entry (that's from 10am to 11:30am), a tasting paddle of four beers – including two GABS Festival exclusives – plus a bacon and egg roll for brekkie which should help get your day started right. Note that these spots are extremely limited, so get in quick here.
