Hop Rally II: Spectrum Analysis at Tallboy & Moose

There's something so wonderfully compelling about drinking the same base beer that's been doctored in different ways. To the engaged drinker it can provide an array of lightbulb moments, like being in a room when the music stops and everything just becomes so deliciously clear. "This does that. That does this. Now I understand!"

That's more or less the aim of Hop Rally II at Tallboy & Moose where they've teamed up Hop Products Australia and the Merri Mashers home brewers on a kind of mass experiment. It basically works like this...

The brewery gives each brewer the same base beer, then HPA dishes them out a different innovative liquid hop product* with the expectation that the brewer will take it home and hop the bejeebus out of the base beer.

Then, on a set date – in this case May 27 – Tallboy & Moose will tap all the beers for what we'd call a Spectrum Analysis Showcase and you're invited to come and have a thorough investigation of all of them.

First pour is at 6pm – entry is free and so are the tasters!

*For the enthusiasts, these are Topnote Saaz and Cascade with Tetra, Incognito Sabro, Incognito El Dorado, Spectrum Mosaic and Spectrum Citra – more on which you can find here.
