Bigger, faster, higher, further – one of the dead-set highlights on the Burleigh Brewing calendar returns in the form of the famous Burleigh Keg Jump.
If you're not down with it yet, the premise is pretty simple: they invite some of the country's elite skateboarders to come in and put on a proper show, pulling tricks, jumps and generally showing off their skills. It's a competitive event with around $9,000 in prizes – and the Golden Growler trophy – up for grabs for the boarder who can clear the most kegs.
Past winners and local skaters Nixen Osborne and Dani Campbell, plus 2019 winner, Melbourne's Sam Atkins, will be back to try and break their equal record of 11 kegs, as shown in the image above. SLAM magazine's Skater of the Year winner Robert Pace is also confirmed to attend, as are pro skaters, Chima Ferguson and Dennis Durrant.
The keg jump will be followed by an official afterparty featuring a live DJ, Burleigh Eats food and plenty of top beer.
This is an 18+ event and tickets are $20, which includes a Burleigh beer on arrival.
