It's official: the Crafted Beer Festival is locked in for 2023.
For its seventh running, the major festival will take over Kurrawa Park in Broadbeach on the Gold Coast for two days in September, filling the park with bands, booze, top food, games and entertainment.
The full lineup of players and producers has been released, and it's a doozy with more than 400 different beers set to pour from more than 50 breweries from across Australia and New Zealand. There'll be plenty of emphasis on Gold Coast brewers too, from firm fan faves to those you mightn't have had the change to try before. Oh, and loads of festival-exclusive beers to try too.
If you're not a fan of beer (yet...) there'll be plenty of alternative liquids to enjoy, from the likes of Granddad Jack’s Craft Distillery who'll be serving up cocktails, craft spirits and whisky tasting sessions from their two-storey vintage bar, and Carafe Wines who'll be pouring their pick of the country's wines paired with cheese plates.
If you're feeling peckish, or downright starving, a smorgasbord of food producers will be dishing up a world of flavours with Italian, Spanish, Brazilian, German, Mexican and many, many more types of cuisine on offer.
And it'll be a world of sound too as no less than 15 live acts to take to the two stages across the weekend, playing everything from sweaty ska-soul to femme-punk, indie rock to electro. The lineup so far includes Polish Club, Fat Picnic, Sputnik Sweetheart, Being Jane Lane, Lucid Safari, Fragile Animals, The Dandys, Beatniks DJs, Tijuana Cartel, Kurilpa Reach, Nana Klumpp, Ruby Gilbert, The Colliflowers, and James Street Preachers.
And of course there'll be games and activities spread across both days, including Burleigh Barrels Beer Yoga, Madocke Beer Brewing Comedy Sessions, Cycho's Hot Wing Eating Competition, Tipsy Twister and more to be announced.
