For a dose of cultural fusion like no other, head to 7th Day Brewery as German beer tradition meets Aussie footy finals fever across their Oktoberfest Weekender.
Get dressed up in your finest lederhosen/dirndl/AFL/NRL combo and head to the Brookvale brewery on the weekend of September 29 to October 2 and you'll be able to indulge in an array of feasting and entertainment each day:
- September 29: Get a taste of the new Hey Weiss Guy Hefeweizen (beer #6 in their Making Waves series), with pints at middy prices. You can then dance it all off with a DJ spinning Euro classics all night.
- September 30: The AFL Grand Final will be live and kicking (with the sound on) at 3.30pm, then the Oompah Oompah Band hits the stage at 7pm.
- October 1: Get stuck into a bratwurst feast before the NRL Grand Final kicks off live at 8pm (also with sound).
- October 2: Tuck into the One Meal BBQ, where your meagre gold coin donation gets you a plate full of goodness and the money goes towards a good cause. And because it's a special Monday, they'll be doing pints at middy prices all day long.
