The more culturally aware may recognise that September 7 is an important in Brazil as the day on which the South American country celebrates its independence. Despite being an ocean away, Melburnians can get in on the festivities as Bonehead Brewing taps into the party vibe with their Sete De Setembro samba celebration.
Kicking off at 1pm, the Kensington brewery will be absolutely pumping with Brazilian beats and eats. All day long you'll be able to dance to samba and MPB (Música Popular Brasileira, aka Brazilian Popular Music) before Sambrazuka take to the stage to perform their live samba tunes. If you're into that, the show starts at 6:30pm and you'll need a seperate ticket which you can get here.
For sustenance there'll be plenty of fresh and delicious beer, while the legends from Braz Oz BBQ will be serving up their Aussie-Brazilian fusion food.
