What's shakin' in the shed this time of year? Oktoberfest, that's what.
Head to Shedshaker Brewing on October 6 and you'll be in for a treat as Castlemaine’s living legends The Thompsons Foundry Band (pictured above) will be putting the oomph into the oom-pah-pah with their big band take on traditional German Oktoberfest tunes.
For their part, the brewery has cooked up a classic hefeweizen which ought to keep the town's under-serviced wheat beer drinkers happy; be warned though – there's one keg only.
The music and party starts at 3pm, with absolutely no lederhosen or dirndl required.
