Given the festival is now into its tenth year, you've probably heard somewhere along the grapevine that The High Country Hop is one of those beer events for which it's truly worth travelling. And that's never been more the case than in 2025.
Each year, at the behest of the mighty Bridge Road Brewers, a swathe of local and international brewers, winemakers, distillers, food producers and associated crafty folk – not to mention an inspired and ever-eclectic lineup of musicians – rock up at the town's Historic Precinct Reserve for an epic day out.
This year's milestone event features an all-timer lineup. On the beer front, KAIJU!, Love Shack, Mountain Culture, Range, Wildflower, and some international guests yet to be revealed will join the all-important High Country brewers: Billson's, Bright, Crank Handle, Mitta Mitta, King River, Mountain Monk and the hosts.
Taking to the stage for a full eight hours is a truly excellent lineup of bands including the neo-soul stylings of Kaiit, Japanese good-time garage rockers The 5.6.7.8s, songsmith Darren Hanlon, 50s-style jump blues and R&B from Benny & the Flybyniters, and the "interstitial sounds" of the Sky High Trio. (All set times will be announced closer to the event).
A few notes on ticketing:
- Adult 'HOPPED UP' tickets include a festival glass and 5 x $2 drink tokens (can be used at any drinks vendors for alc/alc free drinks).
- U18 tickets include a soft drink and a token for 'Box Wars' for those keen to indulge in some creative cardboard play (it's a very family-friendly event).
- This year there's also an ENTRY ONLY ticket, which gets you into the festival, without any glass/tokens.
NB As festival partners, The Crafty Pint has secured some double passes for members of our beer club, The Crafty Cabal – details here.
