You didn’t think your old mates at Carwyn Cellars would come up short this Christmas, did ya? No, thought not. Which is just as well, because they haven’t. Indeed, it seems they themselves are impressed at what’s about to hit their taps and shelves.
The cause of such excitement is a shipment from the importer/distributor Forward Hops containing, in the Carwyn crew's words, “some of the most amazing USA beers we’ve ever come across.” (Just as well it also happens to be a rather large shipment too...).
The beers in question are new treats from Anchorage Brewing, 450 North and Outer Range, plus new iterations of past favourites from the likes of Parish, Tired Hands, and Bottle Logic. In the world of firsts, this will be the first time 450 North has been on tap in Australia, and this will be your only opportunity across the whole of the country to try the full spread from these American "OG kings of slushies." It's also the first time a keg of barrel aged beer from Anchorage has made its way Down Under.
Starting at midday you'll find the following on tap:
- 450 North - 'Allons! (LET'S GO!) Lite'
- 450 North - 'Ice Cream Float Slushy XL'
- 450 North - 'Royalty Slushy XXL'
- 450 North - 'Mardis Gras Slushy XXXL'
- Parish - 'Animals in the Machine' (collab with Tripping Animals)
- Parish - 'Extra Extra Ghosty Bits' (collab with WeldWerks)
- Tired Hands - 'The Science of Man & Monsters'
- Outer Range - 'In the Steep DDH - Mosaic'
- Bottle Logic - 'New Leaf' (collaboration with Toppling Goliath)
- Anchorage Brewing - 'Blessed’ 2024 Double Oaked Imperial Stout
Once these beers are gone, they're genuinely gone, so don't be mucking around if there's something you really want to try!
