Beer vs The World at The Courthouse
A Crafty Pint presentation of sorts, this sees us hook up with Scott Thomas, chef and owner of the [Courthouse Hotel](/beer/bar/courthouse-hotel/) in North Melbourne, for a top notch dinner where we pair exquisite food from chef Julian Hills with beer and other types of alcoholic drink in a battle to see whether beer pairs best. The Courthouse has a great reputation for its food, regularly appears in the upper reaches of the Wine List of the Year rankings and has long been dedicated to the craft beer cause. We've seen the menu and it looks rather flash. Roulade of guinea fowl breast, braised leg and pine nut pithivier with puy lentils, anyone?. Rose scented parfait, chocolate, pistachio, toasted beetroot meringue? We thought so. We did a trial run for a collection of beer writers and bloggers a few months ago and it went well enough that everyone who can make it is returning - and bringing a few others along for the ride too.
