If you've dropped into the newest venture from The Local team - The Local Bottle Store & Provisions - you'll have noticed they're keen to push not just beer, but also a range of nice things like stinky cheeses, smoky meats, crusty breads and the like.
And on September 21, they plan to hold the first of what they hope will be many events showing off the first of these via a Beer and Cheese tasting evening.
According to the Bottle Store manager James Smith: "Those who attend will be treated to five terrific cheeses from all over the world, matched with great beer companions.
"We will have an expert from Cheese Culture (SA) on hand to run people through all things cheese related, with myself organising the beery side of things."
It should all be wrapped up by 8pm, with the store staying open for another half hour for sales after the event.
It costs $45pp and can be booked [here](http://thelocalbottlestoresk.blogspot.com/).

The Crafty Pint is an independent online magazine and resource for anyone interested in craft beer in Australia. We bring an honest, old-fashioned journalistic approach to beer's brave new world, telling stories because they're worth telling not because someone is paying us to write them.
Like many of the people who have changed the face of beer in Australia, we believe in authenticity, integrity, enjoyment and love. We hope to play a role in helping good beer, brewed by good people, find its way into the hands of more drinkers.
