If you've dropped into the newest venture from The Local team - The Local Bottle Store & Provisions - you'll have noticed they're keen to push not just beer, but also a range of nice things like stinky cheeses, smoky meats, crusty breads and the like. And on September 21, they plan to hold the first of what they hope will be many events showing off the first of these via a Beer and Cheese tasting evening. According to the Bottle Store manager James Smith: "Those who attend will be treated to five terrific cheeses from all over the world, matched with great beer companions. "We will have an expert from Cheese Culture (SA) on hand to run people through all things cheese related, with myself organising the beery side of things."
