As part of their 15th birthday celebrations, the founder of Melbourne's [Mountain Goat](/beer/brewery/mountain-goat/) took craft beer into new territory along the Adelaide River in the Northern Territory.
The Crafty Pint went along for the ride - which you can view [here](/features/post/goat-on-goat/) - and while in the Top End discovered that craft beer is starting to find favour in the bars of Darwin.
James Squire, in particular, are making inroads, while in the heart of the relatively new Waterfront Precinct, a brand new bar, The Precinct Tavern, is dedicating several of its 40 taps to craft beer from the likes of [Feral](/beer/brewery/feral-wa/), [Murray's](/beer/brewery/murray-s-nsw/), [Stone & Wood](/beer/brewery/stone-wood-nsw/), [4 Pines](/beer/brewery/4-pines-nsw/) and [Grand Ridge](/beer/brewery/grand-ridge/).
And this weekend, it's hosting its first craft beer dinner.
It's an all star affair, run by Micro Beer Club and featuring hosts Paul Mercurio and Ian Kingham, aka That Beer Bloke.
There will be 12 beers in six flights presented for tasting on the night, alongside matched food and entertainment and insight from the hosts.
Tickets cost $95pp and can be booked by calling Nicki on 0417 897 664 or emailing functions@theprecincttavern.com.au.
