The south west region of WA is blessed with a ridiculously large number of microbreweries – a number that continues to grow too.
And the best and easiest way to see what they're all up to is to visit the annual South West Craft Beer Festival.
In 2015, it returns once more to the beautiful grounds of Old Broadwater Farm in Busselton where brewers and beer lovers will gather for a day of beer sampling, food tasting, wine sipping, entertainment, masterclasses and more.
The festival takes place on Valentine's Day (Feb 14) from 11am to 7pm and will feature 14 breweries pouring more than 60 beers on tap, joined by a number of local restaurants creating selected dishes to match the beverages on offer.
The new layout for the 2015 South West Craft Beer Festival at Old Broadwater Farm Busselton will also allow for a revised music entertainment format. Rather than have one stage on the main lawn area, three live music zones will now be in place around the grounds. They will feature a host of the best up and coming artists from the south west, with the music line up for 2015 nominated by the brewers themselves.
Event director Jason Dover says: "We have made a lot of improvements for this upcoming event including more shady areas, an even better range of beer and food, a few extra wine and champagne providers and changed up the music entertainment to spread the people around the whole of the venue.
"Old Broadwater Farm is a fantastic setting and this time around we really feel we are going to make the most of the setting!"
