The South Australia beer scene has been going into overdrive in the past couple of years, with lots of new breweries launching and venues in the capital getting into craft beer.
We've written about heaps of them: Smiling Samoyed, Prancing Pony, Clare Valley, Big Shed, Wheaty Brewing Corps, Pikes, Mismatch Brewing, Pirate Life and on and on. And beers from more of them are now starting to make it across state borders, with Prancing Pony, Clare Valley and Lobethal Bierhaus among those to start shipping across the East Coast in the past year or so.
If you're a Melburnian and haven't yet had the chance to try them for yourself (and can't wait until SA Pint of Origin at The Palace in May) then help is at hand.
Carwyn Cellars has lined up 30 kegs from 10 of the states breweries that will be tapped over a week.
Pouring from their 20 taps will be:
- Mismatch Brewing
- Wheaty Brewing Corps
- Big Shed Brewing Concern
- Pikes Beer Company
- Pirate Life Brewing
- Swell
- Prancing Pony
- Coopers
- Little Bang
- Lobethal Bierhaus
Ewan from Mismatch will be hanging out in the Back Room on Saturday (April 11) too.
