At The Crafty Pint, and indeed at many of the venues you'll find in these pages, we're mostly about supporting local brewers, but there are odd exceptions. One such occasion is the first Friday in August, otherwise known (since 2008 at least) as International Beer Day.
And if you're looking for somewhere to celebrate with the many colours of the global beer rainbow, you could do worse than head to either of the Local Taphouses, Darlinghurst or St Kilda, on August 7 which are turning over 20 taps to guests from 20 different countries.
It will feature beers from the UK, Scotland, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy, Canada, USA, NZ and, of course, Australia.
The food menu will have an international flavour too, with dishes being chosen from around the world to pair with the beers.
The beer are beers tapped at midday and the party goes until the wee small hours with live entertainment.
