Back in December 2015 a new magazine called Pallet had its Australian launch. Amongst those involved in getting it up and running was Sam Calagione of Dogfish Head and, while in Sydney, he stopped by the Nomad brewery to take part in a collaboration with the brewery, Pallet and a handful of lucky magazine subscribers (more on which you can view here).
The fruit of their labour is ready to launch and will be done so at the Royal Albert Hotel on Thursday April 14.
The beer being launched is an eight percent ABV American amber ale with a few twists; Sam contributed maple crystals from his farm, Birra del Borgo and Nomad co-founder Leo di Vincenzo proffered some Italian yeast and Nomad brewer Brooks Caretta dug into his bag of native Aussie ingredients and came out with wattle seed and finger lime.
This is a very limited release beer – with some being sent to the USA where Sam will be offering it up at the Craft Brewer's Conference – so get on down to the Albert to try it first.
