Looking for a sure way to catch a pike? Then be at the Palace Hotel on July 29 when Pikes Beer Company takes over the taps at the South Melbourne joint.
Alistair Pike will be flying over from South Australia for the occasion and will be bringing plenty of beer, including the Pikes Pale Ale, which will be having one of its first outings anywhere.
He'll be shouting a few beers at the bar, so be sure to make yourself known and have a chat. If you can't get along on the Friday, the takeover will run over the weekend (provided the beer lasts that long).
