Before Christmas, Hotel Sweeney's had planned to showcase a truckload of beers from the UK's Wild Beer Co. Unfortunately there were apparently a few problems getting the beer on the boat so the shipment was delayed. No more, though, as the Sweeney's team has taken delivery of the kegs and nominated Friday January 6 as the day on which they'll be tapped.
The Somerset brewery is highly regarded in its home country for the production of all manner of ales (plus the odd smoked lager), particularly – as the name suggests – focusing on those with some degree of wild fermentation. From midday, you'll be able to get a taste of the following:
- Bibble – English Pale Ale
- Fresh – Fresh Hop Pale Ale
- Epic Saison
- Evolver Sour IPA
- Sourdough – Wild Barrel Berliner Weisse
- Wild Goose Chase – Farmhouse Pale Ale
- Keller – Sour Pale Ale
- POGO – Sour Pale Ale
