The first Ale Stars for 2017 at The Local Taphouse in Darlinghurst is a local affair as they invite the Wayward Brewing Company into the house.
Joining regular hosts Doc, Tom and Liam on the stage for the first time (at least, in Wayward colours) will be statuesque head brewer, Shaun Blissett. A font of knowledge, he’ll be an open book on everything from life spent brewing in a former winery, gluten reduced double IPAs, aspirations of a barrel program and the karmic values of hosting gypsy brewers after being one yourself.
As the talk goes on, you’ll enjoy four of his beers:
- Lilliput Session IPA
- OATIS Oatmeal IPA
- Red Farmhouse Ale (collaboration with Endeavour)
- Barrel-aged Apricot Farmhouse Sour
