With the exception of a few brief appearances during Good Beer Week and at Pint of Origin in Sydney last year, you'll not have seen beer from Shambles brewery outside of their home in Hobart. Well, you're about to as they launch on the mainland in earnest, starting at The Catfish.
With Fitzroy bar also taking on the distribution of the Tassie brewer's beers, this event doubles as both a trade and public showcase, featuring the full range of beers and the person responsible for making them, with Cornel Ianculovici making the trip over the Bass Straight for a Meet the Brewer / Meet the Founder session.
For the thirsty hoards that make up the general public, just head in from around 6pm when the tap list will be a total Shambles.
If you're in the trade and want to pop by beforehand for a chat, that's happening between 3pm and 5pm and spots are limited so you'll need to secure a spot by calling The Catfish on (03) 9417 6420.
