Last year Carwyn Cellars held its first Kentucky Breakfast Stout Day and by most measures the event was a huge success; with the ticketed component selling out within three hours of going on sale it'd be hard to argue otherwise.
If you're thinking, "Hang on a sec... what's a Kentucky Breakfast Stout and why does it need a day?", the KBS is a much fawned-over coffee and chocolate stout from Michigan's Founders Brewing Co that's barrel aged for a full year. It's the kind of beer that has people lining up in the streets in its homeland for hours before its release in the hope of a taste.
Well, the day has come again for us folks Down Under.
At 5pm on Saturday March 18, Carwyn will be tapping both the 2016 and 2017 vintages of KBS. Bot only that, it will be the only retailer in Victoria where you can buy bottles of the '17 vintage for takeaway.
And, in addition to that, there will be 13 other Founders beers on tap from midday.
